ART 8/31: Google Arts and Culture Gallery

DESCRIPTION

We will discuss the following:

TAKE NOTES during class discussions. You will submit notes for credit each week. If you are absent, you must watch the Zoom video to get the notes.

If you were absent to any of the meetings this week, go to Google Classroom, where the recorded meetings have been posted under Classwork>Recorded Zoom Meetings.

CLASS ACTIVITIES

  1. Discuss how to turn in Digital Portfolio Assignment using this Google Sheet

  2. Scroll down to find your class period (tabs at the bottom)

  3. Find your name

  4. Paste your link

  5. Introduce Google Arts and Culture. Watch the tutorial video below.

HOMEWORK

  1. Create a Google Arts and Culture Gallery and turn it in using Google Classroom.

  2. Using Google Arts and Culture create a gallery of TEN artworks that use the element of LINE effectively. Watch the tutorial below if needed. 1. 10 different artists 2. At least THREE different mediums (paint, drawing, sculpture, photograph, clay, fiber, etc) 3. Name your gallery LINE 4. Take a screenshot of your gallery. Copy the link 5. In Google Classroom assignment, create a Google Doc and name it pd_last_first_linegallery. Put your link on top and paste your gallery– make it big. Include your name, date, and period on the top left of the document.

  3. Your Digital Portfolio  is Due TODAY!

  4. The main page must be all about you.  Include a paragraph telling us about you and your experience with art, what you hope to learn in art class, and anything interesting about yourself.  Include a picture of yourself.  

  5. Your second page is your Zentangle.  Include start, middle, and finished product.  Make your images BIG.  Discuss what you learned from doing your Zentangle.  

  6. You will turn in your page address next Monday. 

  7. Your syllabus is Due TODAY!
