  1. Read and discuss Sonnets 18, 116, and 130
  2. Fill out Poetic Device Hunt

HOMEWORK:  Do your homework by hand.  Do not type your homework. 

  • Choose one of the sonnets we read in class today and react to it.  What are some of the literary devices that Shakespeare used?  How do these devices help in creating a timeless poem?  In your own words, explain what this poem is saying.
  • Write a poem about beauty using literary devices.  If you feel like challenging yourself, try writing it in iambic pentameter!
