Cemetery of Dead Words

Dead words are those words that lack personality, character, weight.  They are words that are used too much and say too little.  These words are dead to us in English class.  We thank these words for their service and mourn their loss.  Use this tombstone to bury words in our cemetery.

Because these words are dead to us, we do not use them in our writing.  Using a dead word in your writing will result in your grade suffering a long, painful death as well.  You have been warned.

  1. Sad
  2. Happy
  3. Pretty
